WorldPride DC Events Lineup

  • May 29 – Lydia Butthole Drag Show: Meet & Greet at 9 PM; show at 10 PM. Kicking off the festivities is Lydia Butthole Kollins (yes, that’s her name), a rising drag star who guarantees cheeky laughs and jaw-dropping looks to start WorldPride week with a bang.
  • June 3 – Miz Cracker Drag Show: Show at 10 PM. The one and only Miz Cracker (of RuPaul’s Drag Race fame) takes the stage Tuesday. Expect a high-energy spectacle of comedy and couture from this fan-favorite queen – she’s here to crack you up and slay your life.
  • June 4 – Pride Drag Show ft. Salina EsTitties & Jessica Wild: Show at 10 PM. Wednesday brings a double dose of drag divas: Salina EsTitties (fresh off Drag Race Season 15 with her spicy attitude) and Jessica Wild (an OG Drag Race icon). Two fierce queens, one stage, and zero dull moments – this Pride Drag Show will be the talk of the town.
  • June 5 – Cara Melle Drag Show: Meet & Greet at 9 PM; show at 10 PM. Straight from across the pond, Cara Melle (star of Drag Race UK Season 5) is serving transatlantic realness on Thursday. Snap a pic at the meet-and-greet, then watch her turn it out on stage with that London flair.
  • June 6 – Pride Weekend Kickoff Party: Starts at 8 PM. Friday night, drop in for the official Pride Weekend Kickoff. No drag show tonight – just a fabulously free-for-all dance party.
  • June 7 – Super Star Jaymes Mansfield: Performances at 8 PM. Saturday primetime belongs to Jaymes Mansfield (blonde bombshell from Drag Race Season 9). She’s bringing campy humor and vintage glamour to the stage.
  • June 8 – ALOHO Pride Ending Party: “Dugout” party starts at 8 PM. Sunday, close out the WorldPride festivities at ALOHO’s Pride finale. The aptly named Dugout (ALOHO’s cozy downstairs spot) will be bumping with farewell Pride anthems. It’s the last hurrah – one final chance to dance, toast with your queer fam, and soak in the community love before WorldPride DC wraps up.

Why Pitchers & ALOHO Are the Place to Be

Nestled in the heart of Washington DC at 2317 & 2319 18th St NW, Pitchers and A League of Her Own (ALOHO) are more than just venues—they’re institutions in the LGBTQ+ community. Sharing the same building, these sister establishments offer distinct yet complementary experiences. They cater to a wide range of tastes.

Pitchers is known for its lively atmosphere. It features multiple bars, dance floors, and outdoor patios perfect for mingling and making new friends. Whether you’re looking to dance the night away or enjoy a casual drink, Pitchers has you covered. As one of the top gay bars in DC, it’s a must-visit during WorldPride. Not to mention, since DC gave bars the approval to go until 4 AM during World Pride, you really don’t want to miss out.

ALOHO, on the other hand, provides a more intimate setting with a focus on community and connection. It’s a space where everyone is welcome, and the vibe is always inclusive and friendly. During WorldPride, both venues come alive with special decorations, themed nights, and an energy that’s simply electric. And let’s not forget—there’s no cover charge, so you can enjoy all the festivities without breaking the bank.

No Cover, All Pride: The Gay Nightclub DC Deserves

This dynamic duo of venues isn’t just any night out – it’s basically a queer playground. Pitchers upstairs and ALOHO downstairs form a multi-level LGBTQ+ oasis: part sports bar, part dance club, part lesbian lounge, and 100% good vibes. It’s rare to find a gay bar DC locals adore that never charges cover, especially during Pride season. But owner Dave Perruzza and crew believe “Pride is about community, not dollar signs, so your wallet stays as full as your heart here.” Pitchers DC is the gay bar in DC that has not let the hiccups associated with WorldPride dim its shine!

You’ll rub shoulders with drag superstars, local queer sports league players, dancing queens, and newbies out on the town for the first time – all under one roof. Everyone is welcome, whether you’re a twink, a twunk, a bear, or anything in between. (Psst, twinks and twunks: be sure to ask for Dave at the front door – if you know, you know.) The bartenders will be slinging themed cocktails and pitchers of beer, the music will be pumping (Madonna, Beyoncé, and Gaga remixes for days), and the vibe will be nothing short of electric.

Special Tips for Attendees

To make the most of your experience at Pitchers and ALOHO, here are a few insider tips:

  • Arrive Early: Popular events can get crowded, so getting there early ensures you get a good spot. You don’t want to miss any of the action.
  • Dress to Impress: While there’s no strict dress code, Pride is the perfect time to show off your most fabulous outfits. Glitter, sequins, and rainbows are highly encouraged!
  • Stay Hydrated: With all the dancing and excitement, it’s important to drink plenty of water. The venues offer water stations, so take advantage of them.
